In Memory of Past Deputy Chief Robert Chace

It is with great sadness that we have lost a past life member with our department. Robert Chace was a Past Deputy Chief, Firefighter, and Emt for Minoa he also was heavily involved with his the Onondaga County HazMat. He retired from the City of Syracuse Fire Department as a Captain. The members of Minoa thoughts and prayers are with all of Robert Chace family and friends during this difficult time. ... On the ballot in this year’s village elections there is a referendum which will help with retention of current firefighters and recruitment of future fire department members by increasing the maximum annual contribution limit for the Length of Service Award Program, or LOSAP.

Possible Fire on E. Dauenhauer St.

On 7/25 at 1819 hrs we were dispatched to a grill on fire that was spreading to the house on E Dauenhauer St. C1 (Chief McGarrity), C3 (Chief Capriotti), E11 (FF Garland), L22 (Capt Dibello), E13 (FF Talarico), E24 (FF Lostumbo), Sq1 (Capt Matthes), Sq2 (Lt Alessandrello) responded. Mutual Aid to Bridgeport

Lieutenant Station 1 Anthony Alessandrello, July 17

This morning at 0823 hrs we were dispatched mutual aid to Bridgeport for a possible structure fire. E13 (Lt Alessandrello) responded. Bridgeport C1 arrived and confirmed active basement fire. E13 arrived 2nd due and laid in to the first due. E13’s crew assisted with extinguishment and overhaul.
