Mutual Aid

Minoa both requests and provides mutual aid through the same systems other Onondaga County volunteer department uses:

  1. Local 911/dispatch and the County Emergency Management Office for routine mutual-aid responses
  2. New York State’s Fire Mobilization & Mutual Aid Plan for large or multi-jurisdiction events.

Minoa’s apparatus are numbered and identified for mutual-aid use with the number 37, and Minoa regularly responds to neighboring towns and also receives neighboring companies to provide in-house coverage when Minoa units are out on calls.

Minoa is part of Onondaga County Division 5, EM 305. The following departments provide mutual aid:
