Believe 31 will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, March 28, from 1–4 p.m. at the Caughdenoy Fire Department East Side Station in Central Square. The organization supports firefighters and EMS personnel facing cancer and other serious illnesses while promoting awareness of cancer risks in the fire service. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, with raffles and station tours available. Consider stopping by to support this important cause.

Whether you’ve attended for years or are considering coming for the first time, the Easter Egg Hunt is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends. It’s a chance for children to enjoy the thrill of the hunt and for adults to take part in a long-standing local tradition. The members of the Minoa Fire Department are proud to support events that bring people together and highlight the spirit of our community. We hope to see you at Lewis Park on April 4 for a fun and festive start to the season.

These acrtivities are prohibited through May 14: burning trash, garbage, leaves, tires, and other solid waste, as well as treated, painted, stained, or composite wood such as plywood or particle board. Burning household waste in burn barrels is illegal and harmful because these fires burn at low temperatures and release pollutants that can harm health and contaminate the environment.

When the Santa Detail wrapped up and the last lights were turned off, one thing was clear: the day was an absolute joy. Seeing so many neighbors come out to wave, smile, and share a laugh reminded us just how special this community is. From front porches to snowy sidewalks, every stop brought friendly faces and holiday cheer.

The Minoa Fire Department is stepping confidently into the future. Starting this month (November 2025), our emergency reporting moved to NERIS, the new National Emergency Response Information System.

The message is unmistakable as the vehicles travel: emergency lights stand as a tribute to those who have died in alcohol-related crashes, and as a warning never to drive impaired. The tradition has become a powerful symbol of remembrance and prevention in Central New York.

It was a dark and stormy night — Halloween 2025. But that didn’t stop the fun in the Village of Minoa! The rain only made the lights of Main Street shine brighter as families made their way to the Minoa Fire House for the annual Halloween celebration.
