The Minoa Fire Department Golden Jacket isn’t something you can buy—it’s something you earn, and its value is beyond measure.

On April 24, 2025, Jim Schuyler received this rare honor after 50 years of truly outstanding and dedicated service to the Minoa community.

Jim has served as Fire Police—a vital role that ensures our firefighters can do their jobs safely and effectively. With sworn police powers and specialized training, he has spent five decades managing traffic at emergency scenes, safeguarding the public, protecting our firefighters and equipment, and helping keep every operation running smoothly.

Thanks to people like Jim, our community is safer. We rest easier knowing he’s had our backs for all these years.

Jim, your commitment and quiet strength have made a lasting impact. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. You’ve more than earned your Golden Jacket.
