Making Minoa a special place to call home

Minoa’s “Festival in the Park” is more than just an outdoor gathering—it’s a cherished end-of-summer tradition that celebrates the village’s strong sense of community. Each year, neighbors and friends come together for live music, family activities, delicious food, and a grand finale of bonfire and fireworks. The festival embodies the pride and togetherness that Minoans hold dear.

On September 6, 2025, the Village hosted its 12th Annual Festival in the Park. Though rainy weather kept crowds lighter—just as it had during the Fire Department’s Field Days—the spirit of the event was undampened. True to its “rain or shine” promise, the Festival continued with the Polebarn serving as the backup venue.

Activities & Highlights

• Live Music & Entertainment — Local bands filled the afternoon with music, including Tom Chick (2–4 PM) followed by Letizia and the Z Band.

• Crafts & Art — Family-friendly crafts and local artists offered fun and creativity, especially for younger attendees.

• Food & Vendors — A variety of offerings from the American Legion Chicken BBQ to homemade cookies, cakes, samosas with dip, a food truck, and more.

• Community Connections — The Festival also provides a unique opportunity to meet local office holders and candidates, giving residents a relaxed setting to connect with leaders across Minoa, the Town of Manlius, and Onondaga County.

• Fireworks & Bonfire — As dusk fell, the sky lit up with fireworks and the warmth of a bonfire, with the Minoa Fire Department ensuring safety for all.

Spirit of the Festival

The Festival in the Park remains a lively celebration of community, welcoming residents and neighbors alike for an afternoon and evening filled with crafts, food, fun, and fellowship. It continues to reflect the strong local pride and small-town togetherness that make Minoa such a special place to call home.
