MitoAction: Fun and Advocacy

MitoAction’s biggest fundraiser of the year lit up Green Lakes State Park on September 21, 2025! Families, friends, and supporters gathered for a day filled with energy, smiles, and community spirit. The Minoa Fire Department joined in the fun too — sharing fire safety tips and engaging kids and adults alike.

We’re thrilled to stand with MitoAction, a wonderful organization that lifts up children, adults, and families living with mitochondrial disease. From one-on-one support and group connections to wish-trips, summer camp scholarships, creative programs, and even the MyMito app, MitoAction is there every step of the way. They also champion education, advocacy, and research to make a brighter future possible.

The September 21 Energy Walk & 5K wasn’t just a fundraiser — it was a celebration. It brought people together to laugh, learn, and make a difference, all while shining a spotlight on mitochondrial disease and the  community determined to take it on.
