Thank you, Minoa!

A beautiful, if occasionally blustery, fall day — October 4, 2026 — welcomed golfers to Wa-Noa Golf Course for the Minoa Fire Department Memorial Golf Tournament. This annual tournament honors the life members of the Minoa Fire Department who have passed away. Event organizer, Dave Matthes, Jr., summed up the day by saying, “This is a great cause, a gorgeous day, and a lot of fun!”

Twenty-one teams took to the course, bringing friendly competition and community spirit to a day in support of the Department. Local businesses and neighbors helped make the event special, sponsoring holes and donating prizes for the raffle.

The Minoa Fire Department is immensely grateful to everyone who played, sponsored, donated, volunteered, or cheered the event on. Your generosity made the tournament possible and showed the strength of our community.
