The Minoa Fire Department is evolving to better serve our community. The Village has begun hiring part-time career firefighters to ensure coverage during critical daytime hours—when many volunteers are at work.

But that’s only part of the story.

Volunteer firefighters continue to be the foundation of our Department. They respond during evenings, nights, and weekends—and will work side-by-side with career staff to protect our community around the clock.

If you’ve ever thought about stepping up, now is the time.

As a volunteer, you’ll receive the same professional training as career firefighters. You’ll gain hands-on experience, build lasting connections, and take pride in doing something that truly matters.

This isn’t just about fighting fires. It’s about showing up when your neighbors need you most.

Our message is simple: Join us.
