Expectations
Firefighting requires effort, commitment, and time. Your weekly involvement is typically up to 12 hours.
Emergency Response
- Respond to one emergency call per week, OR
- Serve on a Duty Crew.
Each member of the Duty Crew serves a 12-hour shift from 18:00 hr-6:00 hr .
The first part is at the station from 18:00 hr-22:00 hr. Dinner is provided. Crews perform maintenance/inspection/training at the fire station and respond to any calls that come in.
During the second part, 22:00 hr - 6:00 hr, Duty Crew members are on-call to respond from home.
Duty Shifts are on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
Weekly Drills
- Mondays at 19:00 hr.
